Wayne Alexander "Buddy" Arnette
<p>Mr. Wayne Alexander “Buddy” Arnette, age 84, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several weeks of failing health.</p> <p> A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Arthur Leon Arnette and the late Lora Elizabeth Ivey Arnette and was married for over 57 years to Mrs. Dian DeRosier Arnette, who survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a former member of Piedmont Baptist Church. Buddy retired from Carolina Nissan after serving over 30 years as a master technician. He was an avid fisherman and boater.</p> <p> Mr. Arnette is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Lisa Arnette Sword and husband, Robert, and Angie Arnette Durham and husband, Jamie; grandson, Matthew Wayne Durham and fiancé, Brittany Fidler; a sister, Margaret Arnette Brown; two brothers, Harold (Judy) Arnette and Gerald “Buster” Arnette; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janet Arnette Walker; and a brother, William “Bill” Arnette.</p> <p> The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
